A simple question

A simple question to determine its quality of a golf hole: Does the green relate meaningfully the contour or position of the fairway? The question connects the character of the fairway to green. (In the case of one shot hole: does green relate to the contour of the surrounds or location of the tee?) Weak holes often answer negatively. For example: If the landing zone of an average par four is sloping significantly R to L, does the green relate to that challenge? Similarly, if there is a natural diagonal hazard bisecting a fairway at a given landing zone, does the green relate to the imbalance created by the hazard?  Building golf holes that answer this question helps to define their strategy and meaning.

As seen below, a wide fairway gives golfers an option off the tee. The choosen green site is falling hard from back right to the middle front. This should inform the construction of the entire hole. Shots coming in from the right side of the fairway should be harder to stop on the green compared to a more receptive angle nearer to the fairway bunkers. If built and tweaked correctly, this hole could easily answer the question above.
